Certifications and Designations
- REALTOR®
A designation that a real estate agent, broker, or other type of real estate professional can take on by joining the National Association of Realtors (NAR). This is one of the largest trade organizations in the United States, with more than 1.5 million members. NAR members must uphold the organization’s code of ethics and maintain a certain level of integrity when representing clients.
- Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR):
ABR® designees advocate for homebuyers, and are recognized as distinguished agents in the industry.
- Certified Residential Specialist (CRS):
The CRS designation is the highest credential awarded to residential sales agents, managers, and brokers.
- Certified Negotiating Expert (CNE):

The Certified Negotiating Expert designation is for real estate professionals who want to sharpen their negotiation skills. This certification program gives REALTORS® the tips and tools they need to be skillful advocates for their clients.
- Seller Representative Specialist (SRS):
The Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) designation is the premier credential in seller representation. It is designed to elevate professional standards and enhance personal performance. The designation is awarded to real estate professionals who demonstrate the knowledge and skills essential for seller advocacy. SRS designees represent a global community of REALTORS® who use their advanced training and expertise to go above and beyond their client’s expectations.
